All schools in Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester are closed on Thursday, January 4 due to the impending snow storm, it was announced on the Old Rochester district website.

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for the region in effect from 1 a.m. Thursday to 1 a.m. Friday. Up to 10 inches of snow could accumulate in the area, with wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour.
