See behind the scenes at the Buzzards Bay Musicfest

MARION — Before the Buzzards Bay Musicfest returns for its 27th season on July 9, people will have the opportunity to see what goes on behind the curtain.

There will be an open rehearsal at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, giving people a unique and rare opportunity to observe professional musicians in rehearsal while they prepare for their evening performance.

The open rehearsal is free for all to attend, and music lovers of all ages are encouraged to attend this special event.

Musicians come from across the country and around the world, performing in the finest concert halls, opera houses and ballet theaters and collaborating with world-class artists. They have played in ensembles ranging from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra to the New York Philharmonic and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

The season will begin on Wednesday, July 9 and will end on Sunday, July 13.

All Buzzards Bay Musicfest concerts will be held in the Fireman Performing Arts Center at Tabor Academy, 245 Front Street and are free admission.
