The Pilgrim Sand Trail Riders will continue hosting its dirt bike races at the Mattapoisett Transfer Station this year.

Following two successful events last year, coordinator Bruce Rocha received approval from the Selectmen on Tuesday to hold two more events in 2013, on April 21 and October 27.

Town Administrator Mike Gagne said, “We have not had a single complaint at all. We’ve had a few people who have gone and watched the event and enjoyed the day.”

The town is currently seeking proposals to setup solar panels at the landfill; however, Gagne said the racecourse would not interfere with the project.
