ROCHESTER — The Greater Boston Food Bank distribution day will be  Wednesday, Oct. 9  from noon to 4 p.m. The program distributes free non-perishable food to financially eligible seniors once a month at the Rochester Senior Center. 

Participants must pick up and sign for their own food items unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Enrollment in this program is automatically canceled if 2 months of food pick-ups have been missed.

Food items include canned and boxed goods, juice, and foods that do not require refrigeration. Fresh fruits and vegetables are often included.
