MATTAPOISETT — Davis and Bates, the story tale singing duo of Davis Bates and Roger Tinkell, sang silly songs and anthems about animals at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library on July 6.

The duo entertained children and families alike with songs about trains, counting, animals and more.

The event was part of the library’s “Tails and Tales” summer programming.

The concert was funded in part by a Mass Cultural Council grant.
