Sippican School to shed outdated computers

Dec 5, 2013

One donated HP printer that doesn’t work, two 12-year-old iBooks, eight LCD projectors and 48 iMacs that are older than most of Sippican School students.

It’s not a terrible Christmas wish list, but instead a rundown of computers and peripherals Sippican School will clear out.

At the committee’s Dec. 4 meeting, the district’s Technology Director Ryan McGee told School Committee members the outdated technology will be removed from storage. CRT Recycling will take the items for free in the summer. Otherwise, disposing the items would cost the district.
