Sippican School Vocabulary Day turns 12!
Apr 15, 2016
No one was at a loss for words at Sippican School on Friday as the school held its 12th annual Vocabulary Day. Kids and teachers each chose a word from the dictionary and dressed up in a host of colorful, playful and unusual outfits to make the word come to life.
Students were also challenged to learn five new words as they interacted with their peers. The school day ended with an all-school assembly featuring a runway show with models selected from each grade.
The day also served as a fundraiser for the library, bringing in about $1,900.
