Six Tri-Town students honored for academic achivement

FALMOUTH — Six Tri-Town students were named to the Falmouth Academy Head of School List for Academic Achievement, said a spokesperson from the school. 

According to Falmouth Academy Spokesperson Amy Galvam, students named to the list have earned at least three A’s and no grade below B-.

Out of 198 enrolled students at Falmouth Academy, the following six students from Marion and Mattapoisett made it on the list.

From Marion: Natalie Hurlbut, class of 2028, child of Anne McManus and Matt Hurlburt; Alexia Kalkanis, class of 2028, child of Margot and George Kalkanis; and Maya Shukla, class of 2028, child of Sara and Anil Shukla. 

From Mattapoisett: Benjamin Giumetti, class of 2023, child of Don and Shannon Giumetti; Zoe Van Keuren, class of 2027 and Nolan Van Keuren, class of 2028, children of Alison and Edward Van Keuran both made it on to the list.

According to Galvam, students from as far as Duxbury, Yarmouth Port and Martha's Vineyard were also named to the list. 

“At Falmouth Academy, we value many things: good character, a culture of kindness, a competitive and collaborative spirit, to name but a few,” said Falmouth Academy Head of School Matt Green. “Core to the Falmouth Academy experience, however, has always been academic excellence. We are proud of these students for raising the bar for all of us.”

Falmouth Academy is an independent college-preparatory day school in Falmouth that serves students in grades seven to 12 from Cape Cod, the South Coast and Islands.
