Skilled nursing facility celebrates employees with a sign
MARION — Sippican Healthcare Center celebrated the dedication of its employees during the coronavirus crisis with a customized sign.
Tom H. Lynch, Owner of Artist Design in Mattapoisett, made the sign which calls healthcare workers heroic.
The healthcare center celebrated the installation of Lynch’s work by having members of its staff pose around the sign (all masked, of course).
As of May 20, Sippican Healthcare center had two employees who had tested positive for coronavirus and two with suspected cases. There are no residents with cases, and the employees who have the disease or are suspected to have the disease must remain at home until they have a test come back negative or until they are symptom-free for 10 days.
“We are proud of the fact that no residents have it,” said Kathryn Soderberg, the chief corporate compliance officer for Whittier Healthcare Network, which owns Sippican Healthcare Center. “The staff have done an amazing job and we are grateful to them.”
No one at the facility has shown respiratory symptoms in the last three days.
