The Southcoast Children’s Chorus has a new preparatory choir for singers in kindergarten through second grade.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 9-11 a.m. at St. Gabriel’s Church Episcopal Church, 124 Front St., Marion.

New members for the more experienced concert choir, grades three to five, and touring choir, grades six and older, are also welcome to join in January.

The rehearsal schedule is as follows on Sundays at St. Gabriel’s:

Preparatory choir – 4-5 p.m.

Concert choir – 4-5:30 p.m.

Touring choir – 4:30-6 p.m.

There are no rehearsals on long weekends or school holidays.

The staff of the Southcoast Children’s Choir includes Dr. Tianxu Zhou, director, and Karen DeVoe, choral manager and preparatory choir director.
