Mattapoisett Recreation has a number of programs coming up for kids this spring.

Pre to K Soccer is open to girls and boys ages 3 to 5. Children will be introduced to the basics of soccer. The program runs May 3 to June 13 from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the Center School field. The cost is $40. Registration is due by April 5.

Girls Softball
Learn to Play is for girls in grades kindergarten to 2. Children will learn the fundamentals of softball. The program runs May 3 through June 13, 10 to 10:45 a.m., at Center School field. The cost is $40.
The Junior League is for girls in grades 3 to 5 and the Senior League is for girls in grades 6 to 8. Teams will play again Marion, Rochester and Wareham. Indoor Clinics start on March 29 at OHS Gym for all. Open Day is scheduled for April 26. The cost is $40 for Learn to Play, Junior and Senior is $80. Registration is due March 22.

Fitness Fun is open to boys and girls in grades 1 to 4. Samantha Barney will challenge kids in a fun way to increase their physical fitness while playing indoor games each week. The program is held Mondays and Wednesdays. Class begins on April 7 and 9 through June 11 at Center School gym. The cost is $80 per class or $130 for both classes. Registration is due March 24.

Crafting through the Countries is for girls and boys in grades K to 3. Children will make crafts unique to various countries around the globe. This program is held on Thursdays March 27 through May 29 from 2:45 to 4:15 p.m. in the Center School cafeteria. The craft instructor is Maria Lynch. The cost is $80. Registration is due March 20.

Hip-hop and musical theatre classes are designed for girls and boys ages 5 to 13. In the hip-hop class, children will learn the latest dance moves incorporating choreography and freestyle movement. Children will sign, dance and act in the musical “Little Mermaid” in the Musical Theatre class. Performances will be held on the last day of class. Classes are April 10 through June 5 at Center School gym. Aly Pereira will teach both classes. Hip-hop begins at 3 p.m. and musical theatre at 4 p.m. The cost is $110 per class or $200 for both. Registration is due March 27.

Bay State Gymnastics Academy gymnastics and tumbling is open to girls and boys 5 years old and up. Classes are held on Fridays, April 4 through June 13, at Old Hammondtown School gym. Gymnastics and tumbling is at 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. The cost is $140. Registration is due March 14.
