Starting with empty bowls, ending with full bellies

Nov 20, 2018

MATTAPOISETT — Ten dollars isn’t bad for a ceramic bowl, or for a meal out. Ten dollars for both of those things, and the chance to help others is even better.

The art department and art students of ORRHS invite the tri-town community to come together on Thursday Nov. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. for some soup and a chance to take home a handmade artisan bowl at their Empty Bowls 2018 event.

A $10 donation buys you soup from Blount Fine Foods, biscuits from the Old Rochester cooking club, and your choice of a handcrafted ceramic bowl made by the art students of ORR. All proceeds will benefit our tri-town neighbors in need.

Empty Bowls is a worldwide charity where people make ceramic bowls for similar charity dinners. The Empty Bowls organizers would like to thank Blount Fine Foods for their generous soup donation for the event.
