State historic preservation funding continues
MARION — The Marion Historical Commission wants to inform the Tri-town of the next round of Massachusetts State Preservation Grants, which will offer up to $1 million in funding for preservation projects.
The Massachusetts Historical Commission announced the next round of the Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund, a state-funded program that provides 50% matching grant reimbursement for the preservation of properties listed in the state register of historic places.
Properties include those on the National Register of Historic Places, National Historic Landmarks, and those located in a designated local historic districts.
Eligible applicants must be municipalities or nonprofit organizations. The grant program, established in 1984, supports the preservation of historic properties, landscapes and sites.
