Supper, silent auction to support Meeting House restoration

A meat pie supper and silent auction will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 5:30 on Sunday, Aug.3 to benefit the Mattapoisett Friends Meeting House restoration fund.

The event will be catered by On the Go and include ice cream desserts with make-your-own sundaes for the kids.

Reservations are by donation and due before Wednesday, July 30. Call 508-758-3579 to reserve.

The silent auction will begin at 3 p.m. and end at 6:30 p.m. Bidders do not have to attend the supper to bid. The auction includes foursomes for golfers at Reservation Golf Club, Rochester Golf Club and the Country Club of New Bedford; an all-day fishing trip for four aboard the party fishing boat Capt. Leroy out of New Bedford; a year’s subscription to The Standard-Times; three horseback riding lessons by Julie Craig at Seahorse Farm; a year’s worth of haircuts for a boy, teen or man from Jodi Bauer at the Mattapoisett Clipper; $100 worth of signage from Village Signs; watercolor, “Flood Tide at Pine Island Pond” by Priscilla Alden Hathaway; collector’s edition bride dolls; six Whaling Museum passes; two passes to the new Dinosaur Park at Edaville; Chinese porcelain plate with birds and flowers, boxed and with wooden stand; gift certificates and more.
