MARION — Special Olympics Massachusetts awarded Tabor Academy a national banner of recognition for its efforts to provide inclusive sports and activities for students with and without disabilities.

Tabor Academy had to meet ten national standards of excellence in its inclusion, advocacy and respect to earn the honor. Only 15 schools in Massachusetts and and 155 schools nationwide received the honor in the 2019-2020 school year. The school will be presented with a banner recognizing its accomplishments. 

Students, coaches, volunteers, teachers, staff and administration at Tabor all played roles in creating the proper atmosphere to earn the national banner of recognition.
