Tabor Academy trustees name new chair

At their summer meeting, the Tabor Academy Board of Trustees unanimously elected Carmine Martignetti, class of 1971, as their chairman. Martignetti has been a trustee at Tabor since 2006.

“I am delighted to serve Tabor, which has been such a significant part of my life as well as to work with our dedicated trustees and our outstanding Head of School John Quirk,” he said.

Martignetti is president and co-owner of Martignetti Companies, the leading wine and spirits distributor in New England. He is currently a vice Chair of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and chair of its Nominating and Governance Committee. Martignetti has been active in many organizations, including The Park School in Brookline and Brooks School in North Andover, where he served as a trustee. He and his wife, Beth, are 1976 graduates of Boston College where they remain involved. They have three children and reside in Chestnut Hill and Marion.
