MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Free Public Library’s Teen Advisory Board is requesting help collecting new hats, gloves and white socks through Jan. 15, 2025.

The board “understands that winter can be especially tough for veterans” and has partnered with the Veterans Transition House in New Bedford to help, a news release said.

Donations of new hats, gloves and white socks “help provide much-needed warmth and comfort to those who have served our country,” the release said.

Contributions can be dropped off in bins at the library, 7 Barstow St. until Jan. 15, 2025.
