Marion-based artist Catherine Marie Maxey will be in the reading room of the Mattapoisett Library Friday, April 25 at 3 p.m. to discuss her two-year stay in India, which inspired the quilts and textile art that are on display in the library.

The Mattapoisett Women's Club, with Ellen Flynn's leadership, has interpreted each quilt with a floral display. Everyone is welcome to attend and refreshments will be served.

Maxey's artwork will be on display through the month of April.
