Three Marion residents graduate from Upper Cape Tech

Jun 6, 2022

Three Marion students graduated from Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical High School on Sunday, surrounded by their friends, family and peers.

Cosmetology student Alyssa Fornaro, engineering student Lucas Marcolini and health technology student Victoria Voye were the Marion graduates who turned their tassels at Upper Cape this weekend.

The Outstanding Vocational Technical Student of the Year was Giuliana L’Homme, a Wareham resident. A plumbing and heating student, she spoke of the lessons she learned during her four years at Upper Cape and the skills she will take with her past high school.

Superintendent Roger Forget said L’Homme earned top shop honors every year she was at Upper Cape, and he spoke highly of her leadership skills, her achievements and her role on the varsity soccer and tennis teams.

In her words of advice to graduates, L’Homme quoted one of her former teachers: “It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.”

Marcolini earned the John and Abigail Adams scholarship and Voye earned a UCT merit scholarship.

Graduates and parents alike pointed to the sky in excitement as a plane flying over the school dragged behind it a sign reading “CONGRATULATIONS UCT CLASS OF 2022.”
