Tick safety to be subject of talk

Jun 15, 2022

MATTAPOISETT — Mattapoisett Land Trust is hosting “Tick Talk,’’ a discussion about how to prevent tick bites, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 8 at the Mattapoisett Public Library, 7 Barstow St.

The talk will be led by Blake Dinius, Plymouth County extension educator and accomplished entomologist. He will discuss tick biology and present critical information for preventing bites and disease and will clear up any common misinformation about these insects.

There will be a presentation, plenty of educational materials distributed, and ample time to ask questions and talk to Dinius at the end of his talk.

The “Tick Talk” is free and open for people of all ages, including residents of other towns.
