Tractor pull, swap meet, recycling fundraiser
The Rochester Country Fair will hold its second annual tractor show, pull and swap meet as well as a metal recycling fundraiser on Saturday, April 26.
Donate unwanted ferrous and non-ferrous metals to the Rochester Country Fair.
Donations of scrap metal items can be dropped off at the fairgrounds, located at 65 Pine St., on Saturday, April 26 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. (The rain date is Sunday, April 27.)
Scrap metal collected will help support the Rochester Country Fair continue to make improvements to the fairgrounds and bring new and exciting events to the fair.
The following are acceptable for donation: Steel, washers and dryers, grills (without propane tanks), cast iron, hot water heaters, copper, engines, rims (without tires), aluminum, mixed steel items, transmissions, metal gutters, drums and rotors, farm, equipment, stainless steel, axles, radiators and insulated wire

In tact car batteries for recycling can also be donated. No tires on rims or appliances containing Freon will be accepted. Fluids should be drained out of engines and transmissions prior to delivery.
The New England Antique Tractor & Truck Association will host an antique tractor and garden tractor pull as well as a swap meet at the fairgrounds. The event will also have kid’s games and crafts. A cash donation or donation of non-perishable canned food is asked per person and will be delivered to Shepherd’s Food Pantry. The Rochester Country Fair Committee will serve coffee and donuts in the morning as well as a hot lunch.
