Tri-town Girl Scouts fundraise for camping trips

Nov 7, 2022

Tri-Town Girl Scout troop 67047 spent the weekend of November 5 at Girl Scout Camp Wind-in-the-Pines in Plymouth, MA this past weekend.

The Girl Scouts participated in outdoor cooking, jack knife skills, outdoor art making, hiking, archery, gaga ball, a pajama fashion show and karaoke.

While troop 67047 has hosted similar overnights before, this year, they invited Girl Scout troops from New Bedford and Dartmouth to join them too, which was a first for these troops, and had a total of almost 50 participants.

Girl Scouts Amelie and Kali earned their Girl Scout Bronze award. Mikayla and Leianne earned their Girl Scout Silver award. These are the highest awards that Girl Scouts can earn at their grade level having invested a total of 20 and 50 hours respectively into sustainable community service take action projects in their communities that included themes around educating their community adults and peers about how to reuse and repurposing items, reducing waste, and recycling.

Girl Scout troop 67047 are partnering up with one of their Girl Scout sister troops based in Lowell, MA to host their next overnight in New Hampshire in December where they hope to earn their snow adventure badge.

The Girl Scouts funded this entire camping trip and their next planned one to New Hampshire with the cookie money that they earned last year.

If any business owners or other non-profit managers are interested in investing in a large order, email troop67047@gmail.com and they can arrange a "girl delivery" to your businesses.
