WAREHAM — The Wareham Area Clergy Association and the Tri-Town Against Racism group are joining forces to host a “Communities for Peace, Justice, Healing and Heart Changes” prayer vigil as a way to combat racism.

The event will be streamed on Facebook Live, and held at a responsible social distance at the Wareham Track at 4 Viking Drive. Participants also have the option to join in from their Town Hall, Town Green, any open public space, or even from their front yard.

The vigil will take place on Tuesday June 2 from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Participants in the in-person event should wear a mask and practice social distancing. Signs or banners are not needed for the vigil. Prayer leaders will pray for the families of all of the black men and women who have died since Eric Gardner.
