Tri-town libraries invite kids to travel, explore buildings

Jan 24, 2020

Libraries in Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester have organized a Tri-Town library hop for February.  Children can celebrate their local libraries in February by stopping in to pick up a library “passport.”

As part of the passport exploration process, families can visit their library and see what it has to offer or visit its website to see upcoming special activities. Then, head to the other Tri-Town libraries in Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester and get passports stamped there also.

Children who receive all three stamps will get a special prize at their home library. Families are limited to one passport per child. All ages welcome to participate.

The Tri-town libraries include the Elizabeth Taber Library at 8 Spring St. in Marion (508-748-1252 / elizabethtaberlibrary.org) Mattapoisett Free Public Library at 7 Barstow St. in Mattapoisett (508-758-4171 / mattapoisettlibrary.org) and the Joseph H. Plumb Memorial Library at 17 Constitution Way in Rochester (508-763-8600 / plumblibrary.com).

If special accommodations are needed, contact the nearest library for assistance.
