Tri-Town runners compete in 2023 Boston Marathon

BOSTON — Seven Tri-Town runners made the 26.2-mile trek from Hopkinton to Back Bay on Monday, April 17 during the 127th Annual Boston Marathon.
Representing Marion, Sarah Poulin, 30, finished the 2023 Boston Marathon with a time of 3:26:58.
In Mattapoisett, Karen Coucci, 59, finished with a time of 4:03:49. Bethany Couto, 37, finished with a time of 4:07:29. Elizabeth Foley, 24, finished with a time of 4:48:29.
Mattapoisett runners Jennifer Pease, 34, and Kristen Wingate, 38 finished within one second of each other with times of 5:02:45 and 5:02:46 respectively.
Chris Ptaszenski, 44, of Rochester finished with a time of 4:28:26.
Jared Maxwell, 47, of Marion, who registered to run the marathon did not compete due to an injury.
“Missing out on this year's race is very disappointing,” said Maxwell. “I look forward to getting back to full strength and returning next year.”
In 2022 Maxwell finished the Boston Marathon with a time of 3:26:58.
