Tritown Against Racism to host Black History Month Creative Expression Contest

MATTAPOISETT — Tritown Against Racism intertwines history and art for its annual Black History Month Creative Expressions Contest with the contest theme of “African Americans and Labor.”
Entries of all mediums are welcome but the submission cannot be larger than 16” x 20”.
While the contest is wrapping up shortly, elementary, junior high and high school students in the tri-town area will be able to drop off entries at the Mattapoisett Public Library during regular hours by Friday, Jan. 31 at 4 p.m.
An exhibition opening featuring the student submissions will be hosted in the Mattapoisett Library Community Room on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. where the winners will be announced.
