Rochester Fire/Rescue and Police Department were called to the scene of a car accident on Mattapoisett Road near Country Lane at 11:30 a.m. on Friday morning.

A pick-up truck hit a tree on the side of the road. The driver, who was the only passenger, was taken to the hospital. An officer on the scene said the driver appeared to have only minor injuries.
