Two-vehicle crash slows traffic near Salty the Seahorse, no injuries

There were no injuries in the two-person crash, according to Mattapoisett Fire Chief Andrew Murray.
MATTAPOISETT — A two-vehicle collision May 15 near Mattapoisett’s Salty the Seahorse landmark briefly slowed traffic in the town’s busiest intersection.
Two pickup trucks crashed within the intersection of North Street and Route 6 Wednesday afternoon. Neither of the two people involved suffered injuries, according to Mattapoisett Fire Chief Andrew Murray.
The two vehicles were towed out of the intersection between 1 and 1:30 p.m. as police guided traffic and firefighters cleaned the crash site.
“The biggest hazard was cleaning up debris and getting the roadways opened back up, handling traffic,” Murray said.
