Upcoming children's events at the Mattapoisett Library

MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Library has a collection of children’s events coming soon.

Quahog reader awards. The votes have been counted, and the pizza party guest list has been made. The library will be announcing the winners of the 2026 Quahog Award on April 29 on the library’s website and social media pages.

Quahog Readers who are at the pizza party will receive a sneak peek at the winning titles.

Mosaic bird feeder. On Wednesday, April 29 at 11 a.m. kids ages 3 and up are encouraged to come to the library to make a DIY Seed Mosaic Bird Feeder. 

Registration is required. Nut butter will be used for this activity.

Storytimes. Family Storytimes are happening every Thursday at 10:30 a.m., except for April 23 until May 14.

Baby Storytimes are happening every Friday at 10:30 a.m., except for April 24 until May 15.

Drop-in play group. Children who are crawlers through pre-kindergarten are welcome to the library’s Drop-In Play Group every Tuesday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

Children ages 5 to 10-years-old are invited to Drop-In Play Club every Thursday from 3 to 4 p.m. 

Adult caretakers must stay with their young ones for the duration of the program.

It's a drop in play group, not drop off. These two programs will not be running during April Vacation which occurs from April 19 to April 25.
