MATTAPOISETT — Check out some upcoming events at the Mattapoisett Public Library.

Nama-stay at this event

Start stretching and prepare for the Mattapoisett Public Library’s six-week Summer Yoga Series.

The series will begin on Thursday, Aug. 7, at 10:30 a.m. and conclude on Thursday, Aug. 14. The library is located at 7 Barstow Street.

This is a beginner-friendly yoga flow series. This adaptable experience suits all ability levels and is recommended for ages 12 and up. Class will be held outside, weather permitting. 

Please dress accordingly. No registration required.

Calling all Picassos

Live life in full color K&A Creations during their evening of creativity. 

The program will be on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 5:30 p.m. at 7 Barstow Street.  K&A Creations will lead patrons through a step-by-step painting lesson. Paint a cozy snail, or anything. 

This program is intended for patrons aged 13 and above only. Space is limited, so registration is required. Please dress accordingly, as paint can be messy.

Friends of the Mattapoisett Library meeting

The next meeting of the Friends of the Mattapoisett Library is scheduled for August.

The meeting will be on Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend. A Zoom link to the meeting is available upon request.

The Friends are also still accepting jewelry donations.The Friends would love to take any gently used or unworn jewelry or accessories.
