ROCHESTER — Patrons of Plumb Library can mark their calendars for writing workshops and a book sale in October.

The library’s writers group will begin sessions on Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Participants can with other local writers to share projects, practice writing, or to get advice. All meetings are held over Zoom.

The Friends of Plumb Library will be holding a Book Sale on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The friends are looking for book donations, primarily mystery books, and donations of games and puzzles.

Leave donations at the library during business hours starting Oct. 1.

The Junior Friends will be holding a bake alongside the book sale.
