MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Museum, located at 5 Church St., has a few events on the agenda for the end of this month. 

On Friday, Nov. 19, Southcoast Lessons and the Mattapoisett Museum will host this month’s regular open mic night. 

People of all ages are invited to attend and participate. 

“Sing a song, play a tune, do a dance, crack a joke, tell a story,” the museum said. “The stage is yours, the musical community is all of ours to share.”

Discovery Days, a pilot program for individuals with dementia-related memory loss and their care partners, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22. During the one-hour program, individuals will make personal connections with artifacts, discussion, art making and multi-sensory activities facilitated by educators at the Mattapoisett Museum.

November's theme is food and cooking. Participants will be exploring different tools used in the kitchen, favorite foods and recipes, and family dinner traditions.

The Discovery Days program is limited to 10 people with their care partners, and registration is required.
