Trip to Boston
Members and guests of the Rochester Women’s Club will take a day trip to Boston on Thursday, Nov. 10. The trip by train will feature shopping, lunch, and either the Freedom Trail or the Degas exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts.
This event has been organized not only to enrich the cultural and educational life of participants but also to offer women interested in exploring the club an opportunity to spend some time with members. The club is particularly interested in inviting women formerly active in the club to consider re-joining.
If interested in carpooling to the train station, meet at the clubhouse on Marion Road at 7:15 a.m. Otherwise, plan to meet at the Lakeville/Middleboro train station for the 8 a.m. train. Roundtrip ticket costs $15.50. The train will arrive in Boston at 9:06 a.m.
On arrival in Boston, participants will be free to shop and then meet for lunch at a pre-designated restaurant. After lunch, the afternoon will feature a walking tour of the Freedom Trail, which is free. If the weather is not so great, the afternoon will feature an MFA exhibit by Degas. Ticket are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors.
The group will leave on the 5:12 p.m. train, arriving in Lakeville at 6:17 p.m.
