Jan 24, 2013

The hallways of Sippican School were filled with the sound of trombones and saxophones on Wednesday night, courtesy of the school's fifth and sixth grade Jazz Band.

The Jazz Band opened the school's annual Winter Concert with old standards including one fit for 007 - the "James Bond Theme Song."

Sippican School Band Director Hannah Moore led the several dozen musicians during the concert.

Moore had only praise for the band.

"These kids are really putting it together on their own," Moore said. "They've been extraordinary with taking the songs home and learning them."

Also performing was the school's Concert Choir, which provided the show's finale.
