MARION — The Sippican Lands Trust will host a longer than usual walk in Aucoot Woods on Sunday May 19 at 1 p.m.

The five mile, two hour walk will explore Aucoot Woods and point out its most notable features.

Participants will depart from the information kiosk at the Sippican Lands Trust White Eagle property.

White Eagle is located off Route 6 in Marion. Take Parlowtown Road across from the town cemetery and follow the road until you reach the cul-de-sac. Bear left onto the dirt road and follow past the abandoned cranberry bog on your right.

Parking is available directly past the bog and along the dirt roadside. The kiosk is a short walk beyond.

The walk is free and no registration is required, but participants should dress appropriately for a walk in the woods that includes some wet areas.

If the walk is cancelled because of weather, information will be posted on the Lands Trusts’ website and Facebook page.
