The Gatemen have plenty in store this year, with leadership shake-ups, special events, and an All Star game on the calendar. The team is also looking for families to host college players this summer. 

This year, the team has a new manager, Harvey Shapiro, who was inducted into the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Hall of Fame. Bob Prince of UMass Dartmouth is the team’s new general manager. 

Andrew Lang, the former general manager, will be the team’s new president following the retirement of past president Tom Gay.

The Gatemen will host the 2022 Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game, and the team will play one game at Worcester’s Polar Park, home of the WooSox.

A second movie night on the field is in the works, as is a potential Star Wars night that Gatemen Senior Vice-President Glen Hannington described as “out of this world.”

At the open house, attendees will be able to meet the Gatemen organization and learn more about being an organization member or host family. Host families who have housed players in past years will be on-hand to answer questions.
