Watch movies, talk film with Sippican Cinema Series

Dec 15, 2020
MARION — The Sippican Historical Society is starting a Sippican Cinema Series via Zoom that will include contemporary classics from all genres, as well as documentaries and TV series recommendations, in addition to the old classics.

The series will be co-hosted by Diane Kelley (who has a long history in entertainment industry) and local renowned photographer Anne Converse.

Kelley has been in the entertainment industry for years. She was the co-host of TV 38’s Movie Loft & Company in Boston, a broadcast journalist in Connecticut, a decorating contributor on The Good Day Show on WCVB and a non-fiction novelist. She currently works as an Interior Designer.

Converse has been capturing photos for a majority of her life professionally and has always kept a love of the cinema inside her. She has worked in different areas of the photography industry, from developing film to weddings, to travel and sailing photography. She learned the craft at the New England School of Photography.

The first film of the series will be “Christmas in Connecticut” and is available on demand. Join Kelley and Converse on Dec. 21 at 5 p.m. via Zoom to learn more about the film’s history.

To join, contact info@sippicanhistoricalsociety.org before Dec. 19 to register and receive the Zoom link. Make sure to watch the film before the discussion.
