MATTAPOISETT — Join  the Mattapoisett Land Trust for a fall welcome walk at the new Alves-Bucciarelli Preserve at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 9. 

Mattapoisett Land Trust acquired this new preserve in 2022 and has spent the last year cleaning up and reimagining this riverfront preserve. 

Park on the wide shoulder of the road and meet at the trailhead on Mattapoisett Neck Road, between #3 and #7 Mattapoisett Neck Road.

Long pants and walking/hiking shoes are recommended. The group will take a short walk through the trails of the property, see the newly constructed kayak landing, view before photos of the property to talk about what the Mattapoisett Land Trust has done since acquiring the preserve, and enjoy a fall morning. Refreshments will be served.
