William A. Pina, 53, of Dorchester, died Aug. 17 unexpectedly at home.

He was the husband of the late Laurene (Rocha) Pina.

Born in New Bedford, the son of Dominga (Luz) Pina, of Mattapoisett, and the late Martin T. Pina, he lived in New Bedford, Fairhaven and Mattapoisett before moving to Boston.

Pina was formerly employed as a truck driver.

He attended Old Rochester Regional High School.

Survivors include his mother; three sons, Tycin of Naples, Fla. and Jesse and Shane, both of Boston; his uncle, Manuel Luz; his aunt, Joanna DeLuz; and several cousins.

He was the brother of the late James Pina and Patricia Pina.

Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Road planned the arrangements.
