Marion Police were called to Commonwealth Utilities Employees Credit Union just before noon on Monday for a report of a 21-year-old woman wielding a baseball bat.

According to the police radio broadcast, the woman threatened to break the door of the credit union, located on Route 6.

Police were in touch with the woman's mother as well.

Marion EMS responded to the scene and appeared to have the woman in handcuffs in an ambulance.

Police described the incident as a “mental health issue” and the woman was taken to Tobey Hospital in Wareham.
