Next August the Mattapoisett Yacht Club will host the Ensign Nationals.

The national regatta, which begins Aug. 13, 2016, will bring boaters from all over the country to race in Buzzards Bay.

Town Administrator Mike Gagne announced the event at Tuesday’s Selectmen meeting, and asked the board to approve the use of Ned’s Point’s parking for an event to be held at the end of the week-long regatta, which they did.
