Scouts sharpen skills at family campout

Jun 17, 2014

Marion Boy and Cub Scouts held their annual Family Campout at Camp Hadley in Marion from June 6 to June 8.

The Boy Scouts introduced the Cubs to activities such as a water rescue, knife, saw and axe safety, fire safety and Dutch oven cooking. On Saturday night, Cubmaster Leo Grondin along with the Boy Scouts led a campfire program. The campout gave Cubs and parents an idea of what the younger Scouts can expect should they join the Boy Scouts.
