Technology, mysteries and recipes are all up for discussion this fall at the Elizabeth Taber Library. Event dates and times are listed below. For more information on any of the programs, call the library at 508-748-1252.

Drop in Tech Help

Library Director Libby O’Neill will be available to offer one-on-one help for patrons with newly acquired iPhones, iPads, e-readers or laptops. Basic technology questions will also be answered. Drop in Tech Help sessions will be held Tuesdays until Nov. 18 from 11 a.m. to noon and Thursdays from Oct. 9 to Nov. 20 from 4 to 5 p.m. Help is provided on a first come, first served basis.

Author Talk with Dominick Jones

Dominick Jones, author of “All at Sea: Twenty Years at the Helm of Tall Ships” will speak at the library on Thursday, October 16, at 6:30 p.m. for a book reading, discussion and signing. The book is a true story of how a family brought a wooden cargo ship back into the age of sail.

Recipe Exchange

Are you in need of some new recipes? On Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 4 p.m., swap favorites with others in the community and take a look at ways to use Pinterest to find even more recipes online. Bring a copy of your favorite recipe with you. The library will make the copies for you to exchange.

Mystery Book Club

The Elizabeth Taber Library’s Mystery Book Club meeting is set for Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 11 a.m.  Ian Rankin’s book, “Saints of the Shadow Bible,” will be discussed. Visit the library to register and reserve a copy of this book.
