'Happy Hope Bags' packed to brighten hospital stays for kids

May 3, 2015

Thousands of “Happy Hope Bags” are headed for kids in hospitals across Massachusetts courtesy of a Tabor Academy student and hundreds of volunteers.

On Sunday, Tabor senior Sammy Davis organized “The Hope Factory” where bags were stuffed with coloring books, crayons, stickers, puzzles, games and other fun activities for the Message of Hope Foundation. Founded in 2011 by Wareham resident Emi Burke, the group seeks to brighten hospital stays for chronically ill kids.

Approximately 2,000 bags were packed on Sunday. For more information on the Message of Hope, visit www.messageofhopefoundation.org.
