Recent Bishop Stang High School graduate Caroline Downey, a Mattapoisett resident, finished top 10 in her class.

At Stang, Caroline was on the sailing team all four years and was a captain. She helped the team finish 15th in New England. She also was a member of Student Council and served as secretary this year.

She volunteered with other Stang students at My Brother’s Keeper, a local nonprofit.

Downey will attend Boston College in the fall and is considering a creative career like advertising.

She will also be on the college’s sailing team.
