Mattapoisett Recreation closed out its basketball season with an exciting round of playoffs.

Among the second grade teams it came down to a face off between the Cavaliers and the Warriors, with the former taking home the trophies.

In the junior high playoff, the first seeded Devils managed to hold off the second seeded Huskies to win the Mattapoisett Recreation’s junior high basketball finals.

Mattapoisett Recreation and Marion Recreation combined for third through sixth grade to form a tri-town league this year.

In the boys third and fourth grade division, the Nets defeated the top seeded Sixers to win by a two-point margin while the Thunder claimed victory over the Trailblazers in the fifth and sixth grade.

On Tuesday, the girls tri-town championships, which consisted of grades three through six, saw the Sparks compete against the Fever. Although down for three quarters, the Sparks came back at the end with a 14-9 win.
