Read to Amos the therapy dog at Plumb Library
Plumb Library will host Amos the greyhound and his owner for reading sessions with kids in January and February.
Owner Ms. Holly and Amos are a certified therapy dog team who are a part of the Tail Waggin' Tutors program that gives kids a chance to read to a dog. Children who may have trouble reading out loud can read to Amos, who won't correct, judge or criticize them.
Amos is a gentle 7-year-old, 68 pound dog.
Reading sessions are limited to six children per session and each child will have about five minutes with Amos. Sign up is required.
On Saturday, Jan. 28 and Feb. 25, from 10:30-11 a.m., third graders and older may attend. On Saturday, Feb. 11 from 10:30-11 a.m., kids in kindergarten to second grade may sign up.
