Old Rochester's varsity boys' soccer team suffered a championship defeat on Saturday when they faced off against Case High School for the South Coast Conference championship.

Scores stayed low throughout the game; Case managed one goal in the first half of the game.

It would be the only goal of the game—Case won with a score of 1-0.

Tanner Figuerido, a senior forward from ORR, attempted a number of goals, which were blocked by Case's goalie. Late in the second half, Figuerido was knocked into the ground, but recovered, attempting another goal before the clock stopped.

ORR goalie Jacob Cardwell, a junior, stopped a number of goal attempts from Case as the game continued; prompting cheers from varsity soccer head coach Mike Devoll.

Old Rochester has a season conference record of 7-6-2.
