Marilyn Jeanne Chapman Marcho, 86, entered into eternal peace on Friday, September 22, 2017, at the Gilmer Nursing Home in Ellijay, Georgia.

Marilyn, daughter of the late Mr.  Leslie and Mrs. Eva Chapman, was born on February 28, 1931 at the family residence 333 Commercial St. Provincetown, MA. She graduated high school with the class of 1949. She continued her education at Becker Junior College in Worcester, MA. where she received an Associate Degree as a medical secretary. She moved to Bangor, Maine, where she lived and worked as a medical assistant in a private medical practice until 1974.

She then moved to Wareham to help her sister Catherine Smith care for aging parents. While living in Wareham, she worked as an office manager for the dental practice of Dr. Briggs in Marion, MA. Following her retirement in 1999 she moved to Marietta, GA to live with extended family.

Mrs. Marcho is preceeded in death by her sisters: Inez Macara, Mabel Straight, and Catherine Smith who were born and raised in Provincetown.

Marilyn, "Aunt Jeanne" as she introduced herself, was an avid sports fan enjoying baseball, basketball, football and hockey wherever and whenever the opportunity was presented. She especially enjoyed attending sports events and cheering for her great great nieces/nephews. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by five generations of nieces and nephews. To them she is remembered as a very caring, loving and devoted aunt.
