Logan Johnson, an AmeriCorps service member, has joined the Mattapoisett Land Trust. Johnson will work part-time with the trust over the next six months to do community outreach. He will meet with neighbors of land trust properties to build a relationship and explore any problems or concerns.

Johnson is from rural Maine and is a 2017 graduate of the University of Maine, with a degree in biology and a minor in anthropology. He previously worked as an environmental affairs intern with a pulp mill and as a conservation intern with the Downeast Lakes Land Trust in Grand Lake Stream, Maine.

When not working with the land trust, Johnson will undertake a variety of land stewardship projects with the Buzzards Bay Coalition.
